San Lorenzo del Chagres Castle

This castle guarded the mouth of the Chagres River in the Spanish Colony era. The Chagres River was the start of the transisthmic route that ended at the City of Nuestra Señora de la Asunción de Panamá, nowadays known as Old Panama City.
